Hi Michael,
I have been interested in the offering of Khan Academy for some time, see my blog post "Khan Academy and the Learning Revolution"
I like the different ways you have suggested for both students and teachers to use the videos. I was not aware, until I read your post, of the features available for the hard of hearing and deaf, both the English transcriptions and subtitles. I am planning to look in more depth at the Khan Academy class features as a replacement option next year for Successmaker.
I was not aware of the "cK- 12" Foundation website, thanks Breanne for finding an up-to-date link. I plan to have a closer look, as another possible resource to use with my math 8 students.
So many options, the key being to find the resources that best meet the needs of both the teacher and the students. Keeping in mind that what might meet the needs of one student may not meet the needs of another.
